“Enlightening the Love Between You”
Meets the first Wednesday of every month
7:30PM to 8:15PM
What is a neurodiverse relationship?
This refers to one or both partners, in a relationship, experiencing a learning difference related to ADD/ADHD or the Autism Spectrum. Due to this there can be differences in the way your brain, or your partner’s brain, processes information. This can make it difficult to be in social situations together, co-parent, communicate, and live together!
Even when traditional therapy is sought out, the partner that isn’t on the spectrum is often made to feel more like a parent than a spouse or a lover. This can create difficulties in the relationship, and as a result, the divorce rate among these couples is higher than the norm.
I have partnered with Tina Kramer to form a monthly support group designed to assist those who are either on the spectrum themselves, or in a relationship with someone on the spectrum. This includes those with spectrum tendencies such as ADD/ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, or social anxiety disorders. This group will help you to discover and embrace your, or your partner’s, unique way of looking at the world, and help you to support a functional lifestyle together!
The group will assist you in creating a supportive community that can relate to your experiences such as:
*Lack of feeling
*Not being seen or heard
*Lack of intimate touch
*Lack of accountability
*Communication/retention issues
*Time/space awareness
A monthly reoccurring support meeting for individuals and couples in Spectrum relationships. Recordings will be sent within 24 hours of each event.
